Houston we have doubling!!!
I went in Saturday morning for another HCG blood test. on Thursday it was 60, and Saturday it was 119. Yea! The number should be doubling every 48 hours, so that is a great sign. I go back in on Wednesday for another test. We will hopefully get our first ultrasound next week! I can't wait to see what's going on in there. ( I know we won't be able to see much, but I think we will be able to see the little heart flickering!)

It's official!!!!
Tuesday morning before going to school for post planning, I took a digital test (so there was no guessing) and it said PREGNANT!!!! I woke Chris up with a few "new daddy" gifts I had been collecting. He was half asleep, but quickly woke up when he saw what I was giving him. Even at 5:40 a.m. we were so excited. Of course, I cried, and cried some more on my way to work. Two weeks ago, I had to schedule an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist to discuss infertility and thyroid issues. We went today to discuss my elevated thyroid, and to get a blood test to be sure I was pregnant. She put me on a low dose thyroid medication and I will go back in 4 weeks for a recheck. The nurse just called with my HCG results and it was 60. She wants me to come back on Saturday to a recheck. They repeat the test after 48 hours to be sure the HCG is doubling as it should. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything comes back okay. We are so thrilled that the clomid worked so quickly and very thankful we did not have to go through all the infertility testing.

Am I seeing things????
We had an amazing weekend at the lake this weekend with family. I tested Friday morning before we left (9 days after ovulation), which I knew it would be negative. I decided not to test while at the lake just in case it was positive. We got home around 3 o'clock today (I held my pee the whole way home.) Today I am 12 days past ovulation. I used a Fact Plus test, and I am pretty sure there is a very faint line!!! I even asked Chris if he saw anything, and he said that he sees a line too. I am trying not to get my hopes up until I do a digital test tomorrow morning....

The Clomid Worked!!!
I had just about given up on the clomid for this cycle, but I took an ovulation test on cycle day 20, and it was positive! I also had really bad cramps, and funny pains for two days. Keep your fingers crossed that everything else goes well this cycle! I think I will take my first test 5/25/09!

Offically on Month 5
I guess I will start this backwards, and work my way to where we are now. We went on a wonderful cruise for New Years, and brought the New Year in with the dream of starting our own family. I stopped taking birth control pills on January 1st, and had this crazy thought that I would instatnly get pregnant! Well, not quite! After lots of trying and two long months with no period, I was disappointed to find out that we were not pregnant. We continued to try and after another two months of no period and negative pregnancy tests I decided to go and see my GYN. He did some lab work and determined that I am not ovulating regularly or at all. He prescribed Provera to bring on my period, and Clomid for the next cycle. While at that appointment, I had bloodwork done that showed my TSH levels were out of range. Feeling very frustrated, I went to a general practioner to discuss thyroid issues. The doctor I saw redid the bloodwork, and all throid levels came back normal. That was a relief to hear, but I will be going back for rechecks to monitor the levels.
So, now here we are in May and I just finished my first (hopefully my only) round of Clomid. We both realize it can take couples up to a year to conceive and we are keeping our chins up! We know God has a plan for us!
