A few weeks ago, I purchased this little chip and dip in the dollar section at Target and turned it into a little sorting color wheel for Logan. He has done suprising well, and loves the little trinkets we have found for each section. Cheap and easy...that's what it's all about!

Chicken a la Cow
Logan has a little habit of pulling open the oven just a little bit, and then letting it slam shut. I always tell him, "No, hot!", and move him along to something else. So far, we've had no oven incidents, but after turning on the oven to cook dinner Sunday night, I'm afraid we might be purchasing an oven lock.
After about 5 minutes of the oven being on, I started to smell something, like a burning type smell, but not just food burning. I opened the oven and it looked like a big puddle of ketchup had been dropped on the oven floor. I ran outside and asked Chris if he had dropped sauce or ketchup in the oven and forgot to clean it. He looked totally puzzled and had no idea what I was talking about.
I opened the oven door again and very carefully, dipped a corner of a paper towel in the mysterious goo to see if I could tell what it was. My scientific findings determined that is was, in fact, not ketchup or sauce, but it was some type of plastic. Chris and I racked our brains thinking about what it could be. While holding my nose and trying not to breathe in the possibly toxic fumes, I suddenly had a flashback to the morning. Logan was playing with the bucket of farm animals while I ran upstairs to switch the laundry over. I remember thinking I heard the oven open, but when I ran back downstairs he was playing in the living room, so I didn't think any more about it.
I grabbed the farm animal bucket, and desperately searched for the animal with no match. (Just like Noah, these things come in two's.) There he was...the lonesome little cow....missing his friend.
Rest well little cow....and thanks a lot for ruining my oven cooked meals for the next few weeks. I guess tonight we will eat, Lemon Pepper Chicken with a hint of plastic cow.

Need Help?
My big man is getting ready for Springtime! He's ready to jump in and help Daddy or Pop at any moment! Just a few more years and he'll be out there with the boys!
But for now, we'll just let him stand there and be ADORABLE!

Weekend Painting
What's better than waking up on Saturday and Sunday morning at 6:30? Painting on the kitchen floor by 8:00am. Luckily, I'd had about 3 cups of coffee and was ready to paint with my little artist! He was, of course, very independent and wanted to do everything himself. He had to squeeze the paint, hold the cup, dip the brush, even paint his own hands before stamping them down on the paper. I was quite impressed with his painting and enjoyed every second of our morning masterpiece-making moments!

Randoms
I have a few posts/pictures I keep meaning to do, but time seems to slip right out of my fingers lately. So, excuse this random post, but here is a weeks worth of blogging all dumped into one post. (Less than 3 months of school left!....Summer is almost here!)
Chris sent this to me one morning at school, and I just about died from laughing so hard! Apparently, Logan got a little bored while Chris was in the shower and decided he'd see how many of these he could fit in the toilet. Thank goodness he didn't flush! Needless to say...a toilet lock has been purchased. (Did you even know they made toilet locks?)
Logan and Mommy just hanging out!
Logan is a little obsessed with babies right now. He loves his cousin Shiloh.
Logan watching Pop cut the grass. He is just waiting for the day, he can go out and help.
Yep, that's a diaper. After putting Logan in our bed, he feel back asleep and I snuck downstairs to make a cup of coffee. Appartently, he decided he would sleep better without any "restrictions".
Logan's new swimsuit and rash guard for out cruise coming up in just 3 weeks and 3 days! (Thanks Uncle Josh, Aunt Megan and Kenzie!)
And just because there is nothing sweeter....My sleeping angel!
