America's Funniest Videos!

Several months ago, Mimi and Pop went to New Orleans and came home with some live crawfish for the boys to play with.  Logan and Pop were playing and I just happened to be recording them during this hilarious moment.  After pains in my stomach from laughing so hard, and people continuing to tell us to submit it to America's Funniest Videos I decided to give it a try.

A few weeks later, they emailed us and said the video had been approved, and they would let us know if it ever got scheduled.  I honestly had forgotten about it and several months later, I got another email that said, it had been chosen for the upcoming season, but they didn't know what show yet.  Several weeks later, I got a voicemail that said our video had been scheduled for the season premier!  We were so excited to get the news and couldn't believe Logan and Pop would actually be on TV.  

We didn't win the $10,000 but Logan seeing himself on TV and the free shirt they sent him, were prize enough for him.

We sent a video to our family to remind them to watch.

Landon - 8 Months

8 Month Highlights:

• I tried to weigh him at home and I think he's right over 20 pounds.
• We've made it 8 months of exclusive breastfeeding and we are still going strong!  He's eating 2 4 oz bottles while I am at work along with baby food and yogurt.
• We decided a few night ago to let him cry it out a little in hopes to get him to sleep better at night.  He has been waking up every hour to hour and half.  I'm exhausted and crying it out didn't sound so bad.  The first night was a little rough but the second night wasn't quite as bad.  The third night he slept 9-5!  That was the longest stretch to date!
• He's wearing size 3 diapers and 12 month clothing.
• I'm trying to transition him out of the Merlin Sleep Suit.  I've been putting just his legs in and leaving his arms out so he can flip.
• I had to lower the crib down one notch.
• He loves scrambled eggs, frozen waffles, yogurt any baby food.  He still loves his water from his straw sippy cup.
• He's babbling and loves to say Dadada.  I'm still waiting on Mama
• He is officially crawling and doesn't stay in the same spot for more than 2 seconds.

7 Month pictures

Megan, Landon's babysitter, surprised me the other day with these beautiful pictures.  She bought him this adorable outfit and then took him out to take pictures.
She is so talented and he's awfully cute, so it was no wonder these turned out to be amazing pictures!

Landon - 7 Months

7 Month Highlights:

• I'm not sure about his weight.  I'm guessing he's in between 18 and 19 pounds
• Still exclusively breastfeed. He eats 3 four ounce bottles while I am at work and nurses 5-6 times when we are back together.  
• He is not being a very good sleeper.  He wakes up probably 3-4 times a night.  I. AM.TIRED!  
• He is wearing size 3 diapers and 9-12 month clothing
• We are still using the Merlin's Magic Sleep Suit at night
• He loves to drink water out of his straw sippy cup.  
• He is finally starting to like baby food, but likes it really cold.  He loves the pouches of food, which is great because they are easy to feed from and clean up easy.   
• Dada is officially his first word.  He says it all the time.  
• He's getting very close to crawling, but still just moves backwards
• Spends 3 days a week with his babysitter, Megan.  We are so blessed that God put her in our life.  Landon is so loved by her and her family.
