15 Week Picture

15 Weeks

How far along? 15 Weeks

How big is baby? An orange

Total weight gain/loss? The same as last week, so just up one pound total

How am I feeling? I've been feeling really good. Energy level is back up and sickness is pretty much gone.

Gym Activity?  I have only made it to the gym once this week so far.  I had two late nights at school this week, so that didn't help.  I'm planning to go to the gym tomorrow, Sunday and Monday since I'm off school.

Maternity Clothes?  Yep, and loving them.  I can still fit in several pairs of regular pants, but who in their right mind would turn down a pair of pants with an elastic waist?

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  I'm still waking around 2 or 3 every night.  I wonder what it would like to sleep all the way through the night without waking up.  I guess I'm just getting ready for when the baby gets here.

Best moment this week?   Finding out that we are having a baby BOY!  We had our friends and family over for the reveal and it was so fun to find out in front of everyone.

Movement? I'm getting impatient.  I'm ready to feel something!

Food Cravings/Aversions? I ran to the mall and the smell of the hot pretzels was just too much for my will power.  I grabbed a cup of the pretzel bites and they were delicious!!  I could eat another cup right now.

Gender?   It's a BOY!

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?   I'm not missing much right now.  Just trying to enjoy each day.

What I'm looking forward to?  I'm looking forward to my OB appointment next week.  I think I'll be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler.  I can't wait to hear it, since I haven't really heard it yet.  I'm also looking forward to picking out the baby's name.  I think we have it narrowed down to two names.

Milestones/Development: You probably can't feel it yet, but he's squirming a ton! He might even be hiccuping in there. He's making lots of progress: his joints and limbs can all move now.

It's a...

BOY!!

We are thrilled to have another sweet little boy! Logan is so excited and is already asking me when his baby brother is coming out.

14 Week Picture

14 Weeks

How far along? 14 Weeks

How big is baby? A lemon

Total weight gain/loss? Back down a pound, so up a pound overall.

How am I feeling?  Besides throwing up this morning after gagging when I brushed my teeth, I've been feeling almost back to normal.  I'm still hungry most of the time, but my nausea is pretty much gone.  Thank goodness!
Gym Activity?  I went to kickboxing this week, and plan to try to go this weekend, too.
Maternity Clothes?   I'm loving maternity pants.  Still not quite big enough for the shirts yet.  When I try them on, most of them look too big.  My regular shirts are getting too tight though.  I think I'm right in that middle spot.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  I'm pretty sleepy at night and like getting in bed around 9 and relaxing for about an hour.  I go to sleep fine, but wake up around 12:30am and 2:30am every night.  It would be nice to sleep all the way through the night one night.

Best moment this week?   The best moment this week, will be our gender reveal on Sunday.  I'm sweating bullets though, because I still haven't gotten the results back yet.  They said 10-14 days, and today is day 15.  I'm praying we get them today, otherwise, I'll be going for an ultrasound tomorrow morning.

Movement? I still have not felt anything yet.  Hopefully soon.

Food Cravings/Aversions?  I haven't had any major cravings lately.  Cereal is still an easy meal that almost always tastes good.  I did go out and buy guacamole the other day because it sounded really good.  I'm thinking Chinese food would be good right now.

Gender?   We should know in just 2 days!!!!  I'm hopeful for a girl, but I'm thinking it's a boy.  I will be happy with either one.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  I miss brushing my teeth without gagging and flossing.  I can't really floss my teeth.  It just makes me gag.

What I'm looking forward to?  I'm looking forward to feeling the baby kick.  I think that will help this feel a little more real, too.  I swear there are so many times, I have to convince myself that I am pregnant because I still just can't believe it.

Milestones/Development: He's probably sucking his thumb and wiggling his toes in there! His kidneys are making urine, and his liver and spleen are doing their jobs, too. And he's growing lanugo, a thin, peach-fuzz-like hair, all over his body -- it will help him keep warm!

First Glimpses!

These are just a few precious memories that I don't ever want to forget.  I'm so thankful that the doctor (at the specialist) allowed us to video tape the ultrasounds.  We found out at our last appointment with the regular OB, that no video taping is allowed.  That was a pretty big let down, but at least we have these memories.

The first one is a tiny little speck, but you can see the flutter of the heart beat.
We were so nervous at this appointment and so afraid they would have bad news for is again. Thank God for his precious miracle! It was such a relief to see the heartbeat.  This was only about 2 weeks after finding out I was pregnant!

The is from 6 weeks 2 days:

This next ultrasound is just 10 days later and you can see the baby has grown.  The heartbeat is a little more clear, too.  This is 7 weeks 5 days:

This last video is again just 10 days after the previous one and the change is the baby is unreal.  I can't believe how much it changed and grew in just 10 days.  I had still be worried about the possibility of a miscarriage or something being wrong, so we were so relieved that everything was okay.  I think after this appointment, I finally believed for the first time, that I was actually pregnant.

This is 9 weeks 1 day:

First Day of Pre-K

Logan just wrapped up his first week of Pre-K; excuse me as I breathe a sigh of relief.  Not only would I say he did great, but I think I'm safe to say it went WAY better than I ever could have imagined.
The only hard part has been getting him to bed earlier each night and waking him up so early in the morning.  I wake up at 5:15, get everything ready and in the car, and then wake him up at 6:05, change his clothes and put him in the car by 6:20.  It's an early morning and he's half asleep on our trip into school, but by the time we get to school, he is bouncing down the halls and ready to go to class.

I am so lucky to be able to see him throughout the day.  I can secretly peek in on him and watch him at recess.  He eats lunch at the same time as my classes, so I've been able to see him everyday at lunch.  He looks like such a big boy sitting in the cafeteria eating his lunch at the big kid table.  I'm so lucky to be able to ask him how his day is going and steal a few kisses.

He has nap time everyday for an hour (thank goodness) and his teachers tell me that he falls asleep everyday.  I secretly giggle about this, because I know that I used to fall asleep during Kindergarten nap time and my teacher would have to shake me awake.

Here are a few pictures from the first few days.

Logan at open house

Do you think he was excited for his first day?

Walking down the big hall to his class from Mommy's room

I had this special prize waiting for Logan after his first day of Pre-K

No better way to celebrate an awesome first day of Pre-K!

13 Week Picture

13 Weeks

How far along?  13 Weeks

How big is baby? A sweet peach!

Total weight gain/loss? Up 2 pounds....and so it begins.  It doesn't help that Logan wanted a milkshake on the way home from school today and my craving agreed.

How am I feeling?  I'm feeling pretty good.  I"m still tired, but overall good.

Gym Activity?  I haven't been as much as I hoped.  Logan is exhausted by the time we leave school and I feel bad putting him in the kids area right after being at school.  Once I get home and wait for Chris to get home, it's close to bath and bed time....so I need to figure something out.

Maternity Clothes?   I am wearing a few things now, but still wearing mostly regular clothes.  I forgot how much I love maternity clothes.  Now I just need the weather to cool off and my tummy to grow and I can wear all of my cute stuff.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  Still no naps, but I have had to come home and just lay down for about an hour a few days.  This whole growing a human thing is pretty exhausting!

Best moment this week? I made our pregnancy announcement on Facebook this past week and I announced to my work this week.  It's so fun to tell people and see their excitement!

Movement? Still haven't felt this little one move yet, but my guess is about 2 or 3 more weeks.

Food Cravings/Aversions?  I still love waffles and I'm loving strawberry milk in the morning.  I had a craving for a veggie and hummus pita sandwich this week that was pretty good.  I made turkey burgers and ate half of one for dinner.  I brought another one for lunch the next day, but ended up throwing it away.  Meat just isn't really my thing right now.

Gender?   While I am secretly dying inside to know, I am staying very cool and counting the days until we get the news.  I usually would be impatiently waiting for the doctor to call, but since I know we will be waiting until the reveal on the 24th, I'm okay with it taking it's time. I'm thinking boy, Logan says he is only having a brother, and I always refer to the baby as a he.  Is it just because that's all I know, or is it mother's intuition?  We will see!

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  This doesn't really have to do with pregnancy, but I miss the summer when Logan and I could take 2 hour naps together.  I'm tired...did I say that?

What I'm looking forward to?  The gender reveal of course.  I feel like once I know, I will be able to really start looking for bedding, find a paint color, get Daddy going on the nursery, and get things ready for this baby.  I know we have like 6 months, but that's really not that much time!

Milestones/Development: Can you believe she's forming vocal cords and teeth?! And even though she's still teeny, she already has fingerprints.  Her intestines are moving from the umbilical cord to their more permanent place, in her tummy.

12 Week Picture

12 Weeks

How far along? 12 weeks

How big is baby? A plump plum!

Total weight gain/loss? Still at starting weight.  (I'm sure this is about to change)

How am I feeling?  I'm  actually feeling pretty good this week.  I was back at work full time for preplanning.  Of course, I'm still tired, but overall feeling good.

Gym Activity?  I went to Strike this week and kickboxing on Tuesday.  I asked my OB about having to get a heart rate monitor, and she told me that was the old school way of thinking.  She said I can workout normally, but to be sure I can talk through my workout.  If not, I'm working too hard and need to bring my heart rate back down.

Maternity Clothes?   I'm still fitting in most of my clothes, plus since most people at work didn't know yet, I didn't want to make it obvious with maternity clothes.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  I haven't been able to nap, but that does mean I'm ready for bed around 9:30.  I'm sleeping well, just waking up several times to go to the bathroom.

Best moment this week?  I had my first OB appointment this week.  We had an ultrasound first and they baby was so big!  We were able to see it's spine, tummy, head, the two hemispheres in it's brain, it's heart (which was beating at 165 bpm), arms, legs, and even it's fingers and toes!  Then I had some blood work done and met with the OB.  She said everything looked great and I could stop the Metformin medication now.  I go back in 4 weeks for my next visit.

Movement? We could see baby moving all over on the ultrasound.  Still a little too early to feel anything yet.

Food Cravings/Aversions?  I made sloppy joes for Chris the other night and was not able to eat them.  I love waffles for breakfast and have one almost every morning.  Most days I put a little peanut butter on it for some extra protein.  I still can't drink coffee.  It's so strange.

Gender?   While we were at the OB visit, they told us about a blood test called Harmony.  Harmony is a test that insurance usually doesn't cover and if you pay out of pocket it costs $800.  It tests for Down Syndrome and Trisomies, but it also can tell you the sex of the baby with 99.9% accuracy.  The office is doing a study and you can get the test for $260.  At first, I said no, but as I was sitting there thinking, I decided we would go ahead and do it.  So they took a few vials of blood, shipped it off in a special little package and will call us in about 10 days when the results come in.  We asked that they not tell us over the phone and to put the results in an envelope for us to pick up.  We decided this time, we would find out with our families and do a little something special.  More to come on that.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  I'm really not missing too much right now.  I'm really happy the baby is doing so well and I'm starting to feel better.

What I'm looking forward to?  Getting the gender results in about 8 more days!!

Milestones/Development: Most of her critical systems are fully formed!  She's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which her organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.  She's now developing her reflexes -- if you poke her body, she'll likely move.  She's opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes, too.  Her brain is developing fast!

How far along? 11 weeks

How big is baby? A beautiful lime

Total weight gain/loss? I'm still at my starting weight!  Yay!

How am I feeling?  Been feeling a little better this week, but still having a little bit of nausea. I went back to work this week, so I'm a little more exhausted.

Gym Activity?   Not the greatest week.  I was only able to go 2 days.

Maternity Clothes?  I wore a pair of maternity jeans on Friday and they felt pretty good.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  I haven't been able to nap because of going back to work.  I am able to fall asleep really quickly at night, which is good.

Best moment this week?  My cousin, Melanie gave us her daughter's crib that they weren't using any more.  It's a beautiful convertible crib that is in perfect condition.  We picked it up while we were in Alabama.  I can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or girl, so I can start looking for bedding and a paint color

Movement? Hoping to feel something in the next few weeks.

Food Cravings/Aversions?   I had another aversion to grilled chicken this weekend.  The crazy thing is, I actually craved steak instead.  I never eat steak, I mean never.  The last time I ate a piece of steak was probably when I was about 7 years old.  I ate a few small pieces at my Dad's and it was delicious.  So strange!

Gender? We can find out in 3 weeks!!!  I'm calling this week to set up the appointment.  Chris and I decided we would find out together at the gender reveal with everyone else, so we are going to ask her to write it down and seal it in an envelope.  We have a plan for a really fun way to find out.  Stay tuned.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  I'm missing coffee in the mornings to help wake me up for work.  I keep trying to drink a little, but I'm still not really liking it.

What I'm looking forward to?  I can't wait until next Thursday.  It's my first OB appointment and an ultrasound so we can check on baby again!

Milestones/Development: You can't see it, but she's moving fluidly and gracefully in there.  Her skin is see-through, but she's on her way to looking more like a baby.  Her fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore.  Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.

10 Weeks

How far along?  10 weeks

How big is baby?  A prune...not the cutest, but definitely bigger

Total weight gain/loss? Still at the same weight although I'm not sure how with all of the carbs I'm eating.

How am I feeling?  Overall, I'm feeling pretty good just a few moments of nausea every now and then.  I am finally connecting to this pregnancy and I'm getting really excited!

Gym Activity? I had a decent week.  I made it to the gym three days this week.  We also went to the mountains this weekend and stayed pretty active while we were there.

Maternity Clothes? I found a great pair of maternity shorts in my stash of clothes.  They are really comfortable and give me some wiggle room in the waist.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep? I am still very sleepy most of the day and have been able to squeeze in a few naps with Logan.  I had another episode of a midnight throw up.  Waking up from a dead sleep to run to the bathroom is not my idea of fun.

Best moment this week?  My friend, Megan, took a few announcement photos for us this week.  I was so excited that Logan was so good for his pictures.  We may have bribed him with a new Lego set.

Movement?  I'm sure the baby is moving all over, but I can't feel anything yet.  Hopefully I'll start to feel the baby in the next few weeks.

Food Cravings/Aversions?  Meat has not been sounding very good, and I wasn't able to eat some grilled chicken over the weekend.  Carbs, fruits, and sweets are tasting pretty good.  Not the best food choices, but right now it seems like I just have to eat what I can.  I had a craving for Life cereal and had that for dinner for several nights.

Gender? Less than 4 weeks until we find out.  I can't wait!

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  There's not too much I'm missing right now.  I guess I would say, I miss having energy.  I keep looking around the house and in the baby's room and making lists of things I need to get done, but haven't really had the energy to do anything.  Hopefully that energy returns in the second trimester.

What I'm looking forward to?  We have told most of our family and close friends, but I am really looking forward to telling everyone else with the pictures that Megan took.

Milestones/Development: Baby has working arm joints, and her cartilage and bones are forming.  Her vital organs are fully developed and they're starting to function. Her fingernails and hair are starting to appear, too. Plus, she's swallowing and kicking in there. (Can you believe it?!)

3rd Ultrasound and Graduation

Since I wasn't able to get in with my new OB until 12 weeks, which would have been about 4 weeks from the last ultrasound, I decided to go in for one final ultrasound with the specialists since she offered it to us as reassurance.  Why not, right?

So at 9 weeks 1 day, we went in for our 3rd ultrasound.  I told Chris on the way there, if everything looked good, I was going to calm my fears and hopefully lay them to rest (for the most part) and finally believe that I am pregnant and we are going to be bringing home a baby in February.
My regular doctor wasn't available that day, so we saw another doctor.  He was just as wonderful and was so reassuring.  He performed the ultrasound and we were immediately able to see our beautiful baby and it's heart beating right away.  Again in just 10 short days, the baby had grown so much.  We were able to clearly see it's head, body, arms and legs.  The baby was wiggling and the doctor even joked he had to wait until the baby stopped dancing to read the heart beat.  The heartbeat was 151 beats per minute and the baby measured just over an inch.

I am pretty sure I was on cloud 9 for a few days, just knowing that finally after more than a year of trying and a few heartbreaks, I finally had a perfect little miracle growing inside of me.

9 week Picture

9 Weeks

How far along?  9 weeks

How big is baby? A green olive

Total weight gain/loss? Still at starting weight

Gym Activity?   Not so great this week and I was out of town a few days so it was hard to get there.

Maternity Clothes? Target had 40% off maternity clothes, so I grabbed a few things like an undershirt, a workout top and a pair of stretch pants

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep? I stayed up until 2 am both Friday and Saturday on our girls' trip and was exhausted.  The trip was a blast, so it was worth every exhausting second!

Best moment this week?  Going in for our third ultrasound and seeing how much the baby had changed again.  We were able to clearly see it's head, arms and legs.  The baby was wiggling all over and it's heart was beating away at 151 beats per minute.  It is such a beautiful sight.  I told Chris I feel like I can finally stop worrying so much; I think we really are going to have a baby!

Movement?  Nothing I can feel yet, but he/she was moving all over

Food Cravings/Aversions? I'm still having a tough time eating dinner at night, especially if I let myself get too hungry.  I still find myself eating a lot of carbs, and drinking gingerale.

Gender?   I keep calling the baby a boy and Logan says it's a boy.  We'll see!

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?   I would have loved to have had a glass of wine with my girlfriends while we were on our girls' trip, but I didn't miss it that much.  I still had a great time and this pregnant girl was able to hang until 2 am both nights.

What I'm looking forward to?  I can't wait to actually hear the heartbeat in two weeks.  We've seen it three times, but I think actually hearing it will be amazing.

Milestones/Development: This is a milestone. She's no longer an embryo -- now she's a fetus! She's developing more distinct facial features.  She might now have a strong enough heartbeat to be picked up by a fetal doppler.

8 Week Picture

How far along?  8 weeks

How big is baby? Sweet little raspberry

Total weight gain/loss?  at starting weight

Gym Activity?   My gym buddy, Kristin, is back from FL so we started our classes back.  The instructor told me I really need a heart rate monitor, so I think I'll be investing in one soon.

Maternity Clothes? wore a maternity shirt this week, but it was just a t-shirt

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep? Naps are the best.  I have been trying to take one everyday with Logan.

Best moment this week?  It was my birthday week, so I took Logan to our 5th Annual day at the Georgia Aquarium.

Movement? None yet, but I can't wait for this again.

Food Cravings/Aversions? My dad met us for birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant, Pappasittos.  They have a bacon wrapped shrimp that you wrap in homemade tortillas and dip in a garlic butter sauce.  Amazing!!  I stuffed myself!

Gender?   We can find out in less than 6 weeks!

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?   Not feeling yucky all day.  I told Chris I can't remember feeling this sick with Logan.

What I'm looking forward to?  I'm looking forward to having more energy.  I feel like I could lay on the couch all day.

Milestones/Development: You can't feel it yet, but she's moving those arms and legs like crazy! Her fingers and toes are now only slightly webbed, and her tail (yes, she had one) is gone.  Fun fact: your baby's taste buds are now forming.

2nd Ultrasound

We had our second ultrasound this morning, and while I had still been having plenty of symptoms, I was pretty nervous.  Chris was able to go with me and video the ultrasound. We both were so relieved to see the baby had grown, had a strong heartbeat (158 beats per minute) and was measuring exactly on track at 7 weeks and 5 days.

It's amazing how much the baby changed and grew in just 10 days.

Dr. Hasty was very pleased with everything and said that we could either come back to her one more time or go ahead and make an appointment with my OB.  She gave me my records to take just in case, a big hug, and a present for "Baby Sevin".

7 Week Picture

7 Weeks

How far along?  7 weeks

How big is baby? Plump little blueberry this week.

Total weight gain/loss?  down 3 pounds overall

Gym Activity? Ugh, slacker again.  I went the the gym Wednesday, but then my cousin came in town and with the holiday, I didn't go back until Monday. I'm going to do better next week.

Maternity Clothes? Still don't need them yet.

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep? I am still waking up in the middle of the night.  I felt a little sick (and starving) Saturday morning when I woke up so I went downstairs and had a delicious bowl of cereal.

Best moment this week?  Seeing the baby on the ultrasound for the second time.  It was bigger and it's heart was beating at 158 beats per minute.  It measured exactly on track, which was such a relief.

Movement?  None yet, but I can't wait for this again.

Food Cravings/Aversions?    I had Chris pick up a jar of pickles on the way home the other night.  Logan and I ate almost half the jar.

Gender?  I emailed the ultrasound lady to find out when we could schedule the gender ultrasound.  She does them as early as 14 weeks!!  That means only 6 more weeks.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  We were on the lake the 4th of July and the girls were having these yummy fruity drinks.  They looked and smelled really good.

What I'm looking forward to?  I'm looking forward to my baby belly starting to show.

Milestones/Development: She's generating about one hundred new brain cells each minute!  Not only is her brain becoming more complex, but her heart is too.  Also important: She's developing a permanent set of kidneys.  Her arm and leg joints are now forming.

Love at First Sight!

On June 27th, we were scheduled to come in for our first ultrasound.  I was 6 weeks 2 days, and nervous beyond belief.  My appointment wasn't until 2:15, so I had to keep myself busy all morning.  Chris was able to be off so he could come and I'm so thankful he was there.
We dropped Logan off with Mimi and Pop and headed down to the office.  We arrived about 30 minutes early, but they went ahead and put us back in the room.  We both sat in silence for quite a while.  I think we were both very anxious.  The last time we did this, we got really disappointing news, that there was no baby growing in my uterus.
After an agonizing 30 minutes, the doctor finally came in and said some reassuring words.  I can't remember what she said, because all I was thinking was, "Please, just take a look!!  Show me there is a baby in there!".

As soon as she started, I immediately saw the sack and could see that there was in fact a baby inside.  As she steadied the wand, we were able to see the heart fluttering!  It was so beautiful.  She let Chris take a video of the heart fluttering and she measured the baby, heartbeat, and sac size.  Everything looked perfect!  The baby's heart was beating at 127 beats per minute. We were both so relieved!  We know we are not out of the woods yet, but this is such great news.  We go back in 10 days for another ultrasound to check the growth.

I feel like I can finally breath a little and celebrate the fact that I have a sweet miracle growing inside me!!

6 Week Picture

How far along?  6 weeks

How big is baby? A sweet pea this week

Total weight gain/loss?  down 2 pounds which is surprising because I'm eating like a pig

Gym Activity? I was such a slacker...I only made it to the gym three times.  It's so easy to stay home when you don't feel great.  Plus, Logan hasn't wanted to go which makes it really hard.

Maternity Clothes?  I don't need them yet, but I did clear a space in the closet and hung some of the clothes up.  With my clothes and the ones Melanie gave me, I think I am set!

Stretch Marks? none yet

Sleep?  I am so tired all day, and Logan has not wanted to nap this week.  At night, I can fall asleep quickly, but I wake up every night around 2am and don't fall back asleep until about 4am.  Thank goodness it's summer and I can sleep in a little.

Best moment this week?  Seeing our sweet baby on the ultrasound screen and seeing it's heart flutter away.  It's truly a miracle that something so tiny can be growing and already have a heartbeat.

Movement?  Too early

Food Cravings/Aversions?    French toast sticks have been really good in the morning.  Basically, any kind of carb has been good.  Several things have sounded gross including chicken on several occasions, coffee,

Gender? Too early, but I'm excited for either! I have a feeling it will be a boy.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button? Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  Not really missing anything at this point.  Just enjoying growing my little bean.

What I'm looking forward to?    Looking forward to telling more of the family over 4th of July.

Milestones/Development: Obviously, she's growing like crazy! She's also circulating blood with her increasingly more sophisticated circulatory system.  She's about to get cuter too, since she's starting to sprout a nose, eyes, ears, chin and cheeks. And she might even be wiggling her (paddle-like) hands and feet.

How big is baby? Grew to an appleseed this week

Total weight gain/loss?  Down 2 pounds

Gym Activity:  I made it to the gym 5 out of 7 days.  I just did the elliptical machine until I find out from the doctor if I can still do kickboxing classes.

Maternity Clothes?  Not wearing any yet.  I am itching to hang them all up and make room in my closet.

Stretch Marks? I was able to ward them away with Logan, so I am really hoping they don't show up again this time.

Sleep? I'm very tired.  I took 2 naps this week.  Luckily, Logan still naps, so this works out well for me.

Best moment this week?  Getting great results from my blood work and scheduling the first ultrasound for next week.

Movement? Too early

Food Cravings/Aversions? I've had several aversions.  I get starving, but then nothing really sounds good.

Gender? Too early, but I'm excited for either! I have a feeling it will be a boy.

Labor signs? Too early

Belly Button?  Too early for this, too.

What I miss?  I'm missing coffee a little, but the thought of it makes my stomach turn.

What I'm looking forward to?  The ultrasound next week and seeing the heartbeat.  I haven't totally accepted the fact that I'm pregnant and I haven't really allowed myself to connect to this pregnancy yet.  I'm sure it's because I'm still worried something might go wrong like the others ones.  Once I see the heartbeat, I will feel so much better.

Milestones/Development: The embryo doesn't look like much more than a tadpole right now, but at five weeks, she's already starting to form major organs (heart, stomach, liver, kidney) and systems (digestive, circulatory, nervous).

4 Weeks

I am planning to put these weekly black and white pictures into a book for a pregnancy keepsake.

4 Weeks!

How far along?  4 weeks

How big is baby? Our little peanut is the size of a poppy seed

Total weight gain/loss?  I'm using this week's weight as my baseline  (I'll keep that number a secret!)  :)

Gym Activity:  *I added this in since I have been working so hard at the gym and hopefully this will help keep me motivated.  This week, I was at the beach, but when I returned Sunday, I hit the gym Monday and Tuesday and jumped right back in to Cardio Kickboxing.

Maternity Clothes?  Not yet, but I have the boxes down and flipped through a few things the other day.  I have some really cute stuff I can't wait to wear again.  This is perfect, because it's the exact same time of the year I was pregnant with Logan, so I'll have tons of Fall and Winter clothes.

Stretch Marks? I was able to ward them away with Logan, so I am really hoping they don't show up again this time.

Sleep?  Sleep is pretty good.  I wake up a few times during the night, but that's normal for me.

Best moment this week?  Seeing those beautiful positive tests and spending hours and hours day dreaming of what our family of four will be like.

Movement?  Too early

Food Cravings/Aversions? Nothing really yet.  Cheese toast has been yummy this week.

Gender?  Too early, but I'm excited for either!  I have a feeling it will be a boy.

Labor signs?  Too early

Belly Button?  It's normal now and will be for a while, but I'm excited to see it stretch out again.  It never popped out with Logan, but it did get very flat.

What I miss?  Nothing! I'm just so happy to be pregnant!

What I'm looking forward to?  Going to the doctor for my second blood draw on Wednesday to make sure my levels are doubling.  I went Monday (4 weeks 5 days) and my hcg level was 1,386!  The nurse said anything above 5 is considered pregnant.  Definitely passed that!

Milestones/Development: At 4 weeks, your baby, now known as a blastocyst, is practically microscopic -- a teeny ball of cells. She's busy settling into her new home (your uterus), prepping for all the crucial development she'll be doing over the next six weeks.
